We can do better, together.
“Doing good” starts with a broader community effort.
Ending hunger…
Our food pantry’s immediate goal is to alleviate hunger in our region. This requires an evolved approach that goes beyond food distribution. The challenge calls for improvements in the ways we, as a charitable organization, provide nutritious food and related support to the people we are chartered to serve.
Our food pantry needs help from community leaders who can make us better as a community-invested organization. Not by thinking of us first as a worthy charity, but by thinking first about the needs of those we exist to serve. So that together, we are truly “making a difference”.
Uplifting neighbors…
Guided by this higher shared purpose, we are changing the traditional role of a food pantry. Changing the longtime focus on us as kindly caretakers. Shifting the attention to where it belongs: Providing a dignified and more effective approach to ending hunger and the causes of hunger in our communities.
With the help of leaders like you, we are becoming better organized to achieve a greater collective purpose: Ending hunger across our communities, by uplifting all of our neighbors in need.
What business are we in?
As more organizations in our 15-village region become more informed about food insecurity and food injustice, we realize that we are all in the business of uplifting our neighbors in need.
